Quito
Hotel Plaza Grande
The Hotel Plaza Grande rises above Quito's central square, known as the Plaza de la Independencia. It was one of the first hotels ever constructed in the capital, and has been extensively renovated and remodelled to become the finest boutique hotel in the city. It is the ideal place from which to explore the wonders of this timeless city. Quito was declared a UNESCO "World Heritage Site" in 1978, thanks to its historic centre, which is the largest and best preserved in Latin America. The colonial centre of the Franciscan city of Quito is a treasure trove of baroque art and architecture, including buildings, churches, monasteries and narrow streets that reflect Ecuador's unique blend of indigenous and Spanish cultures.
In Hotel Plaza Grande the rooms have double beds and king size, its distribution is on two floors of a five-storey building including the sub floor. Our rooms and suites are comfortable and spacious, all of them have an exclusive decoration that goes with the building.
The entire hotel was decorated by designer Adriana Hoyos with unique details and gold and bronze colors, wall-to-wall carpets, elegant curtains and furniture designed for each space. Each room is air-conditioned, smoke-free and soundproof. They have full bathrooms (bathtub and shower), smart card/key, safety deposit box, Wi-Fi in each room and flat screen TVs with cable TV access.
Hacienda Rumiloma
Rumiloma is one the largest private properties in the capital of Quito and has earned an international reputation as one of South America's finest properties, with nearly 100 acres of primary and secondary high Andean cloud forest.
Rumiloma overlooks Quito and the sights extend toward the Amazon jungle. The hacienda offers the best of both worlds! Enjoy a life of rustic luxury in an Andean Hacienda and at the same time, feel free to pop down into the historical center, financial district or tourist areas of Quito that are only 10 short minutes away. Rumiloma features 6 generous guest suites in total. The hacienda can accommodate groups of up to 18 people, making it the perfect spot for a destination wedding, family reunion, executive retreat, or just a few days of relaxing in the Andes after adventuring in the Galapagos.
The main house has several cozy sitting rooms that are perfect for relaxing after a long day of touring ithe city, hiking in the surrounding hills, or just enjoying an after-dinner drink, while gazing out over the lights of the city to the Amazon jungle beyond. The bottom floor has been converted into an intimate Irish Ecuadorian pub, complete with a walk-in fireplace. The grounds offer beautiful gardens, terraced patios- all with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Hacienda comes fully staffed with a breakfast cook, a professional kitchen, groundskeeper and housekeeper. Specialty chefs with a variety of gastronomical specialties can be arranged as well as chauffeur, tour and Butler services.
Galapagos Islands
Galapagos Safari Camp
Charles Darwin came to unlock the secrets of our existence; you’ll probably be content to see otherworldly volcanic landscapes, unique wildlife and unspoilt jungle. If so, Galápagos Safari Camp is your ideal eco-luxe launchpad for exploring these near mythological islands: 10 teak-floored super-tents and and a sweeping ocean-view lodge sat subtly in 135 acres of farmland where passionate staff ensure you’ll experience the Galápagos’ greatest hits with the lightest of footprints.
Outdoor infinity pool, bikes to borrow, communal lounge with WiFi, viewing deck, laundry service. In tents: jungle-and-ocean-view balcony with hammock, ensuite bathroom with biodegradable products, desk, hair dryer, tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Pikaia Lodge
Arguably, the only thing greener than the forested hills of Santa Cruz on the Galápagos Islands is Pikaia Lodge: a sustainably-built, eco-friendly, solar-powered, carbon-neutral hotel balanced on the cone of an extinct volcano. All 14 light-filled rooms have unobstructed views of forests, farmland and the giant tortoises that call this lush island home. There’s plenty to see on land – white-sand beaches, volcanic craters and lava tunnels – but a short sail will bring you to the emblematic turquoise waters, too: a stay as prismatic as the islands themselves.
Restaurant, bar, infinity pool, mountain bikes to borrow, spa with Jacuzzi and sauna, treatment room, lounge with books, films and a 3D TV. In rooms: WiFi, TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, minibar, robes and slippers, hairdryer, Pikaia backpack and water bottle, biodegradable Sumaq toiletries.
