Condors and Colca Canyon

There are many options for exploring the canyon. It is possible to hike down to the river at the bottom of the canyon and back in a day, depending on fitness levels. There are hot springs along the valley floor, for example those at Lahur, which you can visit, plus there geysers to marvel at. Other options include walking along the rim at the top of the canyon and marvel at the different angles and views. Of course no trip here is complete without making your way to the condor lookout and witnessing these majestic birds souring above you. The largest flying bird in the world, the wing span of the Andean Condor is simply mesmerising.
