Total Peru

Day 1: Five

Arrive in the capital of Peru, Lima.
Day 2: Paracas

Relax in Lima in the morning and then travel to Paracas, gateway to the Ballestas Islands.
Day 3: Nazca Enjoy a leisurely morning or take an optional cruise to the Ballestas Islands before continuing south to Nazca. This is home to one of the world’s greatest archaeological mysteries, the Nazca Lines.
Days 4 to 5: Arequipa Explore the Chauchilla cemetery for pre-Inca mummified remains and then travel to Arequipa. The following day explore this colonial town at a relaxed pace.
Day 6: Colca Canyon From Arequipa you will travel to the spectacular Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest canyons. Enjoy a guided tour and keep your eyes peeled for Andean condors soaring over the majestic mountains.  
Day 7: Lake Titicaca Travel to Puno on a fabulous journey over the mountains, and take in the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Days 8 to 9: Lake Titicaca Take a boat out on the stunning blue waters to explore this famous lake. Soak up local life during a village homestay, and the following day visit the floating islands of Uros.
Days 10 to 11: Cusco Travel through the jaw-dropping scenery to marvel at the exceptional setting of Cusco and its colonial architecture. For the rest of the day and the following day, discover the city’s charm including its museums and local markets. You may want to sample the local speciality cuy, take part in a chocolate making class or listen to some local music.
Day 12: Sacred Valley Enjoy a guided full day tour of the Sacred Valley and visit the impressive Ollantaytambo ruins.
Days 13 to 16: Inca Trail Embark on a guided 4 day Inca Trail trek. This takes you to Urubamba River, Dead Woman’s Pass and Winay Winayu Incan ruins, all in some of the most stunning scenery you have ever seen. Your 4 days will end at the Sun Gate overlooking Machu Picchu at sunrise, followed by a tour of this famous Incan city. The trek is challenging, however it is extremely rewarding as you walk in the footsteps of the Incas.
Day 17: Cusco After your trek enjoy a day at leisure in Cusco and the chance to relax and rest your muscles.
Day 18 to 19: Amazon Rainforest Fly to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon. Renowned for its impressive biodiversity, including over 1,300 bird species, spend the next day exploring the Amazon with an expert guide.
Day 20 to 21: Lima After a final morning in the Amazon Rainforest, head back to Lima ready for your flight home the following day.


Northern pre-Incan Peru

Day 1 to 2: Lima Arrival in Lima. The following day explore the capital, including the Huaca Pucllana ruins, the Plaza de Armas, and the cathedral.
Day 3 to 4: Trujillo Today you will fly north to Trujillo. In this town you will visit the Moche ruins of the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna and Chan Chan, built by the Chimu civilisation. You will also visit the small seaside town of Huanchaco.
Day 5 to 6: Chiclayo

Pass through the arid coastal landscapes of northern Peru as you head for Chiclayo. On the way you will visit the Moche archaeological site of El Brujo. Here you will be impressed by its colourful geometric murals. The following day set off for a tour of Chiclayo. On the way stop at the bustling market before heading to the Tucume pyramids. Next stop is the town of Lambayque where you'll visit the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan. This is home to some of Peru's most spectacular treasures.
Day 7 to 8: Cajamarca

Today you will travel to Cajamarca, passing through dry scrubland. On the way stop at the small Kuntur Wasi museum. Upon arrival in Cajamarca take the evening to relax. The following day, take a guided tour of the Cajamarca region, visiting the site of Cumbe Mayo, explore Cajamarca itself, and admire the empty tombs at Otuzco. 
Day 9 To 10: Leymebamba

Take the spectacular journey to Leymebamba, winding up and down the mountains. In the morning visit the Leymebamba Museum to view the collection of over 200 Chachapoya mummies and remarkably well-preserved textiles. You then drive into the village of Santo Tomas, where you will take a short walk to the viewing platform for the Revash ruins, sitated in the cliffs above. 
Day 11: Chachapoyas Today you will travel to Chachapoyas, after which you will take a walk up to the baffling ruins of Kuelap. Take in the spectacular views across the mountain tops.
Day 12 to 14: Cocachimba

Your next stop is the tiny village of Cocachimba. On the way you will stop and view the mysterious sarcophagi built by the Chachapoya people. The next day you will take in the magnificent cloud forest scenery on your trek to Gocta Waterfall, one of the highest in the world. After a busy adventure, you get a day to relax the following day where all you need to do is take in this incredibly beautiful setting.
Day 15 To 16: Lima In the morning you will travel back to Lima, and after a final day taking in this city you will fly back home the following day.
