Spirit of Nepal Tour
Day 1 to 2: Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu.
Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. This includes the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Swoyambhunath - the oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley, Pashupatinath - a holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Hindu Crematorium, Boudhanath - the biggest Buddhist temple in the world and Patan Durbar Square - a Medieval Royal Palace area which is also known as the city of fine arts.
*Optional add on. Take an early morning flight over Everest and back.
Day 3: Riverbank Stay
Drive three hours to start rafting in Trishuli river. You will receive a briefing about raft safety and equipment. Raft for about three hours and then relax at a riverfront resort. In the evening you can go for a hike around the rural village.
Day 4: Bandipur
Drive to the beautiful village of Bandipur, enjoying the countryside on the way. The village itself gives the impression of a medieval town and a walk along its streets is wonderful. The view of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges are spectacular from Bandipur.
Day 5: Pokhara
Drive to the amazingly beautiful city of Pokhara. The setting of Pokhara is stunning, sitting on the Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range acting as a stunning back drop. In the afternoon take a serene and beautiful walk along the lake.
Day 6 to 9: Annapurna Trek
This morning you will be driven for 2 hours to the starting point of your trek. Follow the old trekking route through traditional villages like Nau Danda, Kande, Chandrakot. The trek offers panoramic Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri 8140m, Annapurna South 7235m, Himchuli 6450m, Fishtail 6993m, and the entirety of the amazing Annapurna range. You'll pass through rhododendron forests teeming with exotic birds, as well as friendly Gurung villages like Chandrakot, Tolka, and Bheri Kharka. Keep an eye out for a small lake and panoramic mountain views, especially of the Annapurna South, as you get higher. The trail then descends through more scattered forests and villages with traditional houses until you reach Landruk
The following day you join the trail again with a descent towards the Modi Khola Valley, followed by a gentle ascent through forest with a long suspension bridge and great views of the Himalayas en route to Jhinu Danda. In the evening you can enjoy a natural hot spring bath at Jhinu.
Today you can join morning Yoga and meditation before you start climbing to Ghandrung, a great Gurung Eco village very close to Annapurna south and fishtail mountain. Explore around the beautiful Gurung village, one of the largest Gurung settlements in western Nepal. Once here, you will have time to enjoy the landscapes and snow-capped peaks like Gangapura, Machhapuchhre and Mount Annapurna. In the afternoon there is an optional visit to Annapurna Mountain Conservation Area Project (ACAP) headquarters. The ACAP is the first conservation area and the largest protected area in Nepal. Rich in biodiversity, the area offers over 1,000 species of flowering plants, mammals, amphibians, and birds.
On the final day of the trek, you will walk past small villages and picturesque rice fields to reach Kyiumi where you'll meet your private bus transfer waiting to take you back to Pokhara.
Day 10: Pokhara
Spend a relaxing day in Pokhara following your trek, with the option for some extra actives like paragliding, ZIP flying, spa, massage, yoga, boating etc.
Day 11 to 13: Chitwan National Park
This morning you will leave on a five hour drive to reach the beautiful Chitwan National Park to the south of Nepal. The animals here - elephant, rhinoceros, tiger, leopard and deer - are protected. It is a great thrill to take a tour to find the wildlife in its natural habitat. Activities include jungle walks, village visits, canoeing, visits to the elephant breeding centre, bird-watching etc. A nature guide will lead you through all the activities giving insights about the wildlife, flora and fauna in the national park.
Day 14: Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu and spend a free day here to enjoy the last of Nepal culture.
Day 15: Flight home
