when to go to the maldives

Some destinations are spectacular year-round. The Maldives is one of these. That being said, there are two distinct seasons in the Maldives - the dry season (peak) and the monsoon season. 

Dry Season

December to April 

This is the best time to visit the Maldives. The weather is driest at this time of year, and the humidity is at its lowest. Expect sunny days and plenty of blue skies. It is a perfect destination for winter sun and sets the standard for tropical beauty, with stretches of glistening white sand, palm trees and clear turquoise waters.  

Monsoon Season

May to November

At this time of year temperatures in the Maldives are still high and the sea is still warm enough for scuba diving, however there are fewer tourists. If it does rain, you can make the most of your resort's tranquil spa facilities and exceptional restaurants.
