Discover Thailand
Day 1 to 3: Bangkok
All trips to Thailand start in Bangkok, so it makes sense to start your tour here. This is a cosmopolitan city which is a melting pot of old and new, different cultures, locals and tourists. A tour will take you to some of the main sites, including Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and Wat Phra Kaew, which are three of the most stunning temples in Thailand. The latter stands on the grounds of the Grand Palace, an extraordinary place to explore. Bangkok is also a fabulous foodie city, in particular the excellent street food that can be found.
Day 3: Phuket
Then next stop on your tour is Phuket, the mountainous island found on the western coast known for its luxurious resorts. The first place to visit here is Freedom Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the entire country. Spend the day here soaking in the sun and enjoying the crystal-clear water.
Day 4 to 5: Koh Phi Phi
Made famous by The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and then the devastating tsunami of 2004, the islands of Koh Phi Phi have regained their stunning reputation as part of the Ko Phi Phi-Hat Noppharat Thara Marine National Park. Relax on the beach, soak up the sun and enjoy island life. If you are looking for something a little more active, we can arrange a snorkelling boat trip into the Andaman Sea for a glimpse of the magnificent underwater world. You will visit will places like Viking Cave, the renowned Maya Bay, Shark Point, Hin Pae and more.
Day 6 to 7: Koh Lanta
The most remote stop on this itinerary, the Koh Lanta archipelago will provide you with fewer tourists and beautiful, pristine beaches, all framed with an incredible mountainous backdrop. You can access many of the best snorkelling and dive sites in the world here, such as Hin Daeng.
Day 8: Krabi
It is an easy hop to the next place on your tour. Krabi’s shoreline is decorated with huge limestone cliffs, and an absolute must see is Phra Nang Beach found on Railay Bay. Active adventures here include rock climbing and amazing snorkelling.
Day 9-10: Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai and its surrounds is a stunning destination. You will have a choice of activities when you are here. We can arrange cooking classes, visits to elephant sanctuaries such as Elephant Nature Park, whitewater rafting tours and more.
*Optional add on: take a guided multi day trek into the hills in northern Thailand.
Day 11: Bangkok
Fly to Bangkok and take some free time to explore more of this fabulous city, or relax in your hotel pool.
Day 12 to 13: Kanchanaburi
Journey to Kanchanaburi, famous for the bridge on the River Kwai which was destroyed by allied forces in 1945. Your tour here will teach you the dark history of the treatment of Japanese POWs during the building of the Thai-Burma (Death) Railway, which is built alongside the beautiful River Kwai. As part of your trip you will be able to embark upon a thrilling walk along the railway. You are also able to spend some time walking along the ironclad bridge which stands where the original one fell. As well as the railway, you can visit the stunning Erawan Waterfall, a waterfall of emerald green ponds with a total of seven levels. You will have time to navigate all the levels and swim in the pools below.
