Children will love the Bali Bird Park in Gianyar, where there are 250 species of bird, they will be thrilled to go to Water Bom Park, where small ones will enjoy the kiddy park, and bigger children can whizz down huge slides!
Jimbaran Bay: fewer crowds and shallow waves offer excellent conditions for swimming, sailing and windsurfing – in fact you won’t be able to keep your children out of the water!
Komodo Island: your children will love discovering real life dragons on Komodo Island.
Ubud: the Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a great location for children, where you can walk through a forest of boisterous long-tailed macaques. Other experiences in Ubud that your children will love include the interesting Elephant Cave in a steep valley just outside town, and experiencing an traditional Balinese dance performance or shadow puppet play.
Mount Rinjani National Park: located on Lombok, you will find the fabulous Sendang Gile waterfalls. There are two falls that you can walk to, both very accessible for children.
Prambanan: located on Java, home to some of Indonesia’s most interesting cultural sites, is this beautiful Hindu temple complex. At night your family will enjoy watching a wonderful Javanese dance performance of the Indian love story of Rama and Shinta. To get your kids outdoors, there is the option for go-karting and mini-golf at the Kids Fun Park in nearby Jalan Wonosari.
Sumatra: this will be a highlight for many children, especially wildlife lovers. From Bukit Lawang an exceptional experience will be a trek into the jungle in the Gunung Leuser National Park. Here your family will get close to amazing animals; Orangutans, White Handed Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and Pig Tailed Macaques, just to name a few.
